Ends of the Hair Techniques

The curling tong is placed at the end of the hair and wound upward. The curl is generally stronger at the ends due to the heat concentration.

Base to Ends Technique for Volume

The tongs are placed near the base area and turned toward the scalp while the hair is directed toward the tong handle. As the tong rotates, the hair is directed towards the end of the iron. The procedure is repeated until all of the hair is fed into the iron. The curl will generally be stronger neat the base.
